I hope this comes out ok..

How does this sound to you? I’d be interested in your reaction…

Romantic Canoeing in the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area)

(A national wilderness area bordering Minnesota and Canada.)

I am with my very special, life-long partner. And we are padding across a remote lake on a calm sunny day. It is about noon, and we are getting hot. I suggest that we have a picnic lunch on an island. It has a beautiful beach and trees for shade and privacy. Along with our sandwiches we enjoy a bottle of wine. Feeling relaxed, we decide to go swimming (skinny dipping as we are miles from any other soul) After a nice brief nap and some loving, on the beach, I again, reapply sun block to your thirsty skin. After a thorough application, you sigh with appreciation as you receive the extra benefit of a massage for your tired shoulders. We press on.

Around 4:00, we find a perfect campsite. It has all the amenities a “Hamm’s Beer” commercial: seclusion, bubbling waterfalls, swimming beach, clean and secluded facilities and plenty of firewood. We get busy with the task of creating a perfect end to a perfect day. That means supper, cleaning, ambiance, romance and laughter. To accomplish this goal we get to work. Working as a polished team, we set up the tent, layout the joined sleeping bags, gather sufficient firewood, cook a gourmet supper of campers stew, blueberry pie for dessert.

We still have not seen a soul all day!

Now, we must prepare for the evening of more romance. That means cleaning up, hanging the food, stoking the fire. With these chores being done, we now need to clean off dirt, sand and sun block. The water is warm. Skinny-dipping is only way to get really clean. After playful splashing and using biodegradable soap, we are squeaky clean. Nevertheless, you want your hair to be free of sand. I warm water on the stove, dilute it, making it the perfect temperature for you. I wet your hair as you lean forward, I lather your head, and you smile, enjoying the deep massage to your scalp and neck. A warm rinse and you are all set for the evening.

The sun is now setting, disappearing below the lake. Loons are calling. Crickets… and it becomes silent, except for the crackling of the fire. Now, it is time to serenade you with my guitar and harmonica. You smile broadly, in spite of a few missed notes; you understand my intention… to impress you with my efforts. The songs express our love for each other. Your hand is on the small of my back, tapping… keeping time as I sing.

We finish the wine; I crawl under the blanket with you. It has been a long day. We yawn together, going to bed, in joined sleeping bags, make love and sleep ever so sound, your head is on my shoulder, I stroke your hair as we reminisce about the wonders of the day. Then, a great sleep!

As the sun wakes me, I quietly sneak out, stoke the fire, and prepare breakfast. The smell of bacon frying wakes you up! You poke your head through the tent flaps, smiling at me! “Hey Cutie, Good Morning!” And I hand you a warm cup of cappuccino!

Another perfect day has started.

Note to you, the reader, this is only one scenario, I also enjoy weekend trips, picnics, museums, concerts and even clothes shopping with and for my partner. Other: Skiing, canoeing, backpacking, biking, and travel. Included this package are many evenings of dressing elegantly and dancing both to “swing” and of course, the slow dances. I am not a cook, but I love to help in the kitchen. Conversation, laughter and smiles are the most important, no matter where we are.

Dear Catherine,

No, my dear, you are not Catherine, but this is a take from the Movie “Message in a Bottle”. If you would see the movie, it would make more sense. (In case anybody reads this)…

No, your name is anything, but I like Maria, Marie, and Mary. We have not met yet, but I look forward to meeting you everyday. Every day I pray for you, waiting for you to come into my arms and into my life. Frankly, I am getting inpatient. I miss you so very much.

Various scenarios:

What you are wearing really doesn’t matter, because you look good in everything. Today, I see you in jeans, and a blouse reveling just a hint of cleavage. Your makeup is perfect, perfume is intoxicating. You greet me with a big smile, a prolonged kiss, and tight squeeze of a hug. You ask me how I am, making general small talk. But your most striking attribute is your constant, smile, with lots of giggles. You have such a wonderful outlook on life!

I fall in love with you more, each day. I love you my dear. You are the love of my life! You always reassure me that it is the same with you. You love me deeply for what I am and what I do… but most of all, you love me deeply. As I close my eyes, I feel you here with me, now… in my arms. I feel breathless, looking into your eyes. Sometimes, in our discussions about us. I see your eyes well up, with happiness. I make you happy! That is my joy… making you happy as you make me happy!

Would you?

We are watching TV, it matters not what is on… either a movie or the news. We are talking; your head is on my lap.

We talk about my moving from my place, to a place we both choose. It could be here in Milwaukee, Florida, Wyoming, Colorado, Alaska or to a romantic vineyard in France.

Would you do a spontaneous slow dance with me now? Never mind there is no music…

Did I say Catherine? I really mean Dear _________

My dear, I am now going to meditate, instructing the universe, to bring you to me…

Today? See you soon. Thank you for your kisses and hugs.

Why?

She and I complement each other… we enjoy each other… We strengthen each other. We support each other. Life is fun together! Together we are more than the sum… We are true partners; we join forces and collaborate our goals. We actively seek ways to strengthen our relationship. Great sex! Together we are magnetic, hypnotic and addictive to each other.

She:

Beautiful, - wears make up most of the time

She inspires me to be romantic.
We sizzle…
She misses me and is anxious to see me.
She is active, loves biking, hiking, canoeing, backpacking, skiing
She is educated and intelligent.
She loves to travel
We are married, with a prenup, summer 2010. (I wrote this in 2007)
She lives in Milwaukee. (Or close by)
Great dresser – Sexy
She is great in bed. Loves wearing sexy lingerie all the time

I'm not playing games... See what Warren Buffett has to say... (One of the richest men in the world!

"The power of unconditional love. I mean, there is no power on earth like unconditional love. And I think that if you offered that to your child, I mean you’re 90 percent of the way home. There may be days when you don’t feel like it, it’s not uncritical love, that’s a different animal, but to know you can always come back, that is huge in life. That takes you a long, long way. And I would say that every parent out there that can extend that to their child at an early age, it’s going to make for a better human being."
